We value positive relationships with parents and carers to help develop better social and emotional skills in children. We know that when children are engaged with their learning, they attend school more regularly, leading to better long term outcomes.
For parenting and counselling services, visit the Family Support page, and for direction and clarity on regulations, processes and procedures at our school, read the Sydney Catholic School policies.
At Mary Immaculate Catholic Primary School Bossley Park we encourage and nurture parent engagement to ensure parents are vital partners in their child’s learning. Parents are welcome to assist in the classroom, on school excursions and participate in whatever way they can. Parents are also invited to join both school and parish committees that focus on various aspects of school and religious life.
Communication with parents is central to maintaining the learning and religious life of each child. We maintain a connection with parents through a fortnightly newsletter, the Compass app, emails, phone, parent forums and weekly assemblies.
Supporting the Students
We are incredibly fortunate to have a community that is always willing to lend a hand during a number of other activities that could not run without the generosity of volunteers. We also have various parent groups to strengthen the partnership between family, school, parish and the wider community for the benefit of students’ development and learning.
Canteen
Offering healthy and smart choices, our onsite canteen provides students with access to nourishing snacks and lunches.
